AX `09? Well, it was A W E S O M E. That's basically it. It just was. PERIOD.
I went with my dearest Elaine (~
lanie100) who dressed up as the most ADORKABLE Seychelles ever and Jenny (~
RenOfDarkness) who was dressed up as Gaarita! (aka a hotter girly version of Gaara) Haha. I missed going to the Hetalia gathering, though Elaine went... and I had to fight off two Frances who attacked her and another Seychelles cosplayer--- THOSE BLOODY PERVS. And I got a hug from Russia and Turkey~
I went to a basic Photoshop panel on Friday, which was good because now I have basic idea of what the heck all those tools actually do. xD I also went to yet another Coloring with Copics panel, since the instructor of that one is SUPER COOL. I love her, she's so kickass and funny. Um.... I sorta forgot what else we did on Friday. o.o" We explored artist's alley a ton, I got two vocaloid pins from =
Aka-Shiro and a Lavi pin from an artist with whom I'm not familiar. ^^" OH! and we went to the Funimation Sneak Peek panel... It was actually kinda dull. They showed an epic preview of the D.Grayman dub, and announced some of the new shows they're dubbing- the best one they're working on is SGT. FROG! woot. <3
Saturday, I went with the same folks, though Elaine and I split up in the morning so she could go to the Hetalia gathering, and I could hang with Jenny and Sara (~
Crimson001) in the exhibit hall/AA. I got a poster of Tamaki and Haruhi by =
orange-lotus, and later got it signed by VIC. VIIICCCC. ;~; Oh Vic, I love thee, even if your Tamaki reminds of a slightly homosexual version of Ed. <3 Then we wandered around some more with Jenny's friends. (her YAOI LOVING FRIENDS- Elaine and I fit right in.) We sat in at the end of a Power Rangers panel, then sat in on the Kari Walgren panel.... She was so neat! and completely adorable.
FINALLY, at 6 pm, CAME THE EPIC GAIA ONLINE PANEL. It was amazing, as always. CP, the artist, showed us sketches of items and NPCs, we got to meet the artists who did some of the evolving items... They told us more about the latest and eventual Zomg! updates, etc. They actually didn't have that much new stuff to talk about, since apparently they added a whole heck of new stuff on Thursday, but it was new to me, since I hadn't logged on since Tuesday. They gave out some great prizes, the best being mini angel wings, but as usual, I didn't win squat. The Q and A session was frickin` hilarious. Someone online asked them to SHIP LANZERXDJHELLSING. lol. DJ said there was an invisible wall between them, so Lanzer put his arm around CP instead. ;D We cracked up. Plus, my interest has been sparked- WHO IS PEYO'S FATHER?! I WANT TO KNOW. I NEED TO KNOW. Plus, I used to totally ship TimmyXPeyo until they made Timmy into some mutant ugly version of Alan Rickman. Damn.
After that, we basically ran all the way to the Vocaloid panel, which was SO INTERESTING! Some Japanese chap was there, I'm not sure what his connection with Vocaloid was exactly, but he was not one of the well known composers. o: He might have worked for the company, I'm not sure, I was in the back, and the translator's mic was not loud enough. They showed several famous Vocaloid videos, mostly Miku- Love is War, Black-Rock Shooter, etc,. The only other Vocaloid who had a video shown was Rin. ;~; No videos starring my babies, Kaito and Len, were shown. I never knew this, but Rin and Len are not twins, they are actually ONE PERSON. I thought they were reflections of themselves, but always assumed they were two people... I guess not. He went on to say that the fact that they were not twins meant that they could be anything-spouses, lovers, friends- in a video, and it wouldn't be incest.... it'd be more like masturbation. HE SAID THAT! You could apparently buy some DVDs/CDs of the Vocaloid videos, but we missed out since the exhibit hall was already closed. The creators of several famous Vocaloid videos had messages for us. ;~; <3 RYO. I am a huge fan! Their messages were so sweet and idealistic. Vocaloid will spread all the way around the world-!
Then I went home and dreamt anime. ;B IT WAS HAWT. Tomorrow is my first day at Otis. Hopefully, all the inspiration I got from spending 237809273489072389402730 hours strolling the AA will help me a bit. <3
